A Destination Wedding Nestled Among the Towering Alps

We love mountains. So needless to say, we love photographing weddings in quirky mountainside villas with new friends. You may remember Claudy + Mati from their adventure session by the Danube. We didn’t meet Claudy and Mati until the day of the wedding, and while sometimes that makes us nervous, this couple instantly became friends. We literally adore this pair and it was such an honor to be asked to photograph a photographer’s wedding day. Now we finally get to reveal their gorgeous bohemian wedding in Austria. Strangely enough the day was also a bit magical.

The morning of their wedding, the forecast kept showing rain. But that day the weather patterns seemed as temperamental as on a balmy summer’s afternoon in Iceland. If you aren’t enjoying the weather just wait five minutes.

Claudy wanted to get ready in their apartment, a special place for them. The walls were adorned with their sweet family with their adorable children, a picture of the new family to come.

But the real magic happened when we turned the corner in Pressbaum to behold a sight straight out of a fairytale. The wonder of  Villa Kunterbunt.

We could go on and on about this couple, their special union together, and their bohemian wedding near Vienna. Needless to say, a flower crown, cool hats, a loving family and sweet ceremony with plenty of happy tears makes for a precious day with new friends. Zach even saved the day from a collapsing BoHo canopy on their arbor. For now let us have the photos and the love of this dear family speak for themselves.
